We may collect anonymised, non-identifiable usage data to help us understand how the service is being used and to improve it. This may include:

• Error reports — these never contain any file content

What We Do NOT Collect

• Your name, email address, or any personal identifiers — unless you contact us directly
• The content of any image file you open or process
• Any payment information — QwikImg is free and has no payment system

3. Your Image Files

This is the most important section of this policy. When you use QwikImg to resize, crop, compress, convert, rotate, watermark, or otherwise edit an image:

• Your file is opened and processed entirely within your browser using local JavaScript
• Your file is never uploaded to our servers or any third-party server
• Your file is never stored remotely at any point during or after processing
• Temporary data may be held in your browser's local memory during the session and is automatically cleared when you close the tab
• We have no technical ability to access, read, or retrieve your images

This architecture was a deliberate design decision. We chose browser-based processing specifically so that user privacy is guaranteed by design, not just by policy.

4. How We Use Data

The limited anonymous data we collect is used only to:

• Understand how users interact with the tools so we can improve them
• Identify and fix bugs or performance issues
• Measure which features are most used to guide development priorities
• Monitor overall service stability and uptime

We do not use your data for advertising profiling, do not sell it to third parties, and do not use it for any purpose beyond service improvement.

5. Data Security

Because all file processing occurs locally in your browser and no file data is ever transmitted to us, the risk surface for your images is minimal by design. For the limited anonymous analytics data we do collect:

• Data is transmitted over HTTPS (encrypted in transit)
• We use reputable analytics providers with their own security standards
• No personally identifiable information is included in analytics data

6. Cookies

QwikImg may use minimal cookies or browser storage for the following purposes:

• Analytics: Anonymous session data via Google Analytics to understand usage patterns
• Preferences: Remembering tool settings you have configured (stored locally in your browser)
• Performance: Caching assets so the tool loads faster on return visits

We do not use advertising cookies, tracking cookies, or any cookies that profile your behaviour across other websites.

7. Third-Party Services

QwikImg uses a small number of third-party services to operate:

• Google Analytics — anonymous usage statistics. Subject to Google's Privacy Policy.
• Google Fonts / Font Awesome — font and icon delivery via CDN. No personal data is collected by these services through our use.
• Firebase — may be used for anonymous crash and error reporting.

None of these services receive any image file content. We do not use any advertising networks that track users across the web.

8. Children's Privacy

QwikImg is a general-purpose image editing tool and is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect any personal information from children. If you believe a child has submitted personal information to us, please contact us and we will remove it promptly.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. We encourage you to review this page periodically. Continued use of QwikImg after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
